
Born on 1951 in Fez (Morocco). He has completed broad medical education on Paris University (Preventive Paediatric, Tropical Medicine and Anthropology) as well as psychiatric education (certified Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, since 1984). He is Doctor Honoris Causa of Oradea University (Romania) and Lead Researcher at the Brest University. He was obtained duties as Medical Director in several hospitals in France (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Ward of Epernay’s Region, Psychotherapeutic and Rehabilitation Centre “La Nouvelle Forge” in the Senlis Region, as well as Dupré Clinic) and was Psychiatric Assessor of the French Ministry of Justice for the Juvenile Justice System. Currently is Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (University of Western Brittany), and Chief of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, (Brest University Hospital), Director of the Interregional Teaching Program on Difficult Adolescents, Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychopathology Section of the Criminology Institute of Paris Sorbonne University and Visiting Professor University of Belgrade (Serbia) as well as acting “at distance” supervisor for various mental health professionals in Morocco, Dubai, Peru and Mexico He has held various positions in several national scientific bodies: Secretary General of the French Association of Psychiatry, Member of the French Observatory for Schizophrenia, Member of the Scientific Committee of the French Union of Psychiatric Patients’ Families, Member of the Task Force on the Revision of the French Classification of Child and Adolescent Mental Disorders, Secretary of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Section of the French Federation of Psychiatry, Member of the French National High Committee for Professional Rehabilitation of Disabled Workers, President of the Committee on Juvenile Health at la “Fondation de France”, Member of the Task Force on Radicalization; Member of the French Ministry of Health Task Force on Psychiatry- Child and Adolescent psychiatry section. He has been actively involved in WPA since 1999 and contribute in creation of WPA Sections for Psychoanalysis In Psychiatry (Chair from 2014) and Perinatal Psychiatry as well in activities of WPA Classification Section (Board member and Co-Chair). He is a member of the WPA Education Section and member of the WPA Core Curriculum Operational Committee since 2016. He has been elected twice as WPA Zonal Representative for Zone 6 (Western Europe). General Secretary, Co-founder and Past President of the Franco Mexican Psychiatric and Mental Health Association, Coordinator of the APAL-FFP Liaison Committee, Director of Meeting of the International College for Person Centered Medicine Vice President of the World Dynamic Psychiatry Association, former Representative of the French National Psychiatric Association at the EPA National Psychiatric Associations Council. He is Chief Editor of the Child and Adolescent biannual supplementary of le”Journal de Médecine Légale” and Member of the Editorial Board of several French and international scientific journals. He is involved in development of several French and international e-learning programs. He published around 300 papers in peer reviewed journals. Most of them are in French in non-Medline-indexed journals. About 30 of them are in Medline-Indexed Journals, most of them in English. He authored or co-authored five books in French as well several on English or Spanish. Currently is involved in granted multicenter, researches on Melatonin in TSA, on Empathy and Self-recognition in ED and TSA in Adolescence, and on the Elaboration of National Guideline on Psychiatric Assessment of Juvenile Delinquents, and Radicalized Adolescents.He was contributed to the organization of more than 50 congress including 30 international congresses and 15 national congresses.
